Ingredients:

  • 1,5 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 banana, Sliced
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray

Instructions:

    1. Combine the Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined. Do not overmix! A few lumps are perfectly fine.
    2. Heat the Pan and SPRITZ!: Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat. Lightly coat the pan with SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the Banana Slices: Gently Place the Banana slices all over the pan.
    1. Pour the Batter: Pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the pan.
    2. Cook and Flip: Cook the pancakes for 2-3 minutes per side, or until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges start to set. Gently flip the pancakes using a spatula and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown on the second side.
    3. Make the Chocolate Drizzle (Optional): In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and milk. Heat in the microwave on high power in 30-second increments, stirring in between each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. If needed, add a touch of vegetable oil for a thinner consistency.
    4. Serve and Enjoy: Stack the cooked pancakes on a plate and drizzle with the warm chocolate sauce. Enjoy your fluffy banana pancakes with a smile!

    Tips:

    • Want extra banana flavor? Add a pinch of ground cinnamon to the pancake batter for a touch of warmth.
    • Don't have chocolate chips? Substitute with Nutella melted peanut butter or even a drizzle of maple syrup.
Leftover pancakes? Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave for a quick and delicious breakfast later in the week.
