Ingredients:

For the Smash Burgers:

      • Minced Beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
      • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
      • SPRITZ Original Cooking Spray- Sunflower Oil.
      • SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray.

For the Wrap:

    • 2 large flour tortillas
    • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Lettuce, sliced
    • Tomato, sliced
    • Onion, thinly sliced
    • Your favorite burger toppings (pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo)
    • SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Burgers: Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a Grill/ Cast Iron Skillet: Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, lightly coat the bottom of the pan with SPRITZ Sunflower Oil Cooking Spray.
  3. Smash and Sear the Burgers: Place one burger patty in the hot pan. Using a spatula, press down firmly on the patty to smash it slightly thinner. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through to your desired doneness. Sprinkle some pepper if needed and flip it on both sides till it’s cooked then remove it.
  4. Assemble the Wrap: Lay out a tortilla on a plate. add your burger, Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Top with lettuce, tomato, onions, and your favorite burger toppings.
  5. Fold: Carefully fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling, then fold in the sides like a burrito.
  6. Warm the Tortillas: Lightly coat the preheated grill/ cast iron with SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray for flawless coverage. Place the tortilla wrap in the pan and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute per side, or until lightly golden brown and softened.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: 

Tips:

  1. Want a cheesier wrap? Add a slice of your favorite cheese directly on top of the burger patty before folding.
  2. Don't have a cast iron skillet? A heavy-bottomed frying pan will work just fine.
  3. Leftover burger patties? Dice them up and use them in a salad or taco bowl later in the week.
