Ingredients:
- For the Mashed Potatoes:
- 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup milk (warmed)
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- SPRITZ Butter Cooking Spray.
- For the Filling and Coating:
- 1/2 pound minced beef
- 1 clove minced garlic
- Minced onions.
- 1 cup shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup flour
- SPRITZ Olive Oil Cooking Spray
Instructions:
- Cook the Potatoes: In a large pot, cover the cubed potatoes with water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain the potatoes well.
- Mash the Potatoes (with SPRITZ!): While the potatoes are hot, use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until smooth. Gradually add the warmed milk, Lightly mist SPRITZ butter Cooking Spray to add the soothing buttery flavor and texture, and salt and pepper to taste. Continue mashing until well combined and creamy.
- Brown the Beef: In a separate skillet over medium heat, Spray SPRITZ and cook the ground beef with the diced onion until browned. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Assemble the Bombs: In a medium bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture with the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape the Bombs: mix the mashed potato with the beef and cheese filling, add flour, and shape it forming a ball. Repeat with the remaining mashed potatoes and filling.
- Air Fry and Enjoy: Arrange the mashed potato bombs in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation. Spray SPRITZ Olive Oil Spray and air fry for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside, and heated through on the inside.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let the mashed potato bombs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them plain or with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, ranch dressing, or marinara sauce.
