Ingredients:

  • Feta Cheese
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 chopped mint
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • SPRITZ Sunflower Oil Cooking Spray

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:  Mix your favorite cheese
  2. Assemble and fill the Sambousek: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly coat the air fryer basket with SPRITZ Sunflower Oil Cooking Spray.
  3. Fill, Roll, and Shape: Place a spoonful of the cooled filling in the center of each dough. Fold it over the filling to form a triangle shape.
  4. Seal: Moisten the edges of the dough with a little water. Pinch the edges firmly to seal the sambousek.
  5. Air Fry and Enjoy: Arrange the assembled sambousek in the preheated air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation. Lightly spray the tops of the sambousek with SPRITZ Original Cooking Spray Oil for added crispiness. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and flaky. Let the sambousek cool slightly before serving.

Tips:

  • Want to make these ahead of time? Assembled but uncooked sambousek can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw them in the refrigerator before air frying.
  • Don't have an air fryer? You can bake the sambousek in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Feeling adventurous? Try different fillings! Hotdog, pepperoni, or more vegetarian options like spiced lentils or spinach and feta cheese work well.
