Use SPRITZ Butter cooking spray, the secret weapon for juicy, flavorful, steak that tastes so buttery straight off the grill.
Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut), about 1-inch thick
- Salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
-
SPRITZ Butter cooking spray
Instructions:
- Prep the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat them dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Make the Rosemary Garlic: In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, and one sprig of chopped rosemary. Mash with a fork until well blended. Set aside.
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450°F). If using a gas grill, preheat for 10-15 minutes with the lid closed. Once hot, spray SPRITZ Butter cooking spray for flawless coverage to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Steaks: Place the steaks on the preheated grill and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Baste and Finish: During the last minute of cooking, add the remaining rosemary sprig to the grill alongside the steaks. Lightly coat both sides of the steaks with SPRITZ butter-flavored cooking spray and add the prepared rosemary garlic butter onto the steaks.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the steaks from the grill and transfer them to a plate. Tent the plate loosely with foil and let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to be redistributed for a more tender and flavorful steak.
- Serve and Enjoy: Slice the steaks against the grain and top with remaining rosemary garlic butter. Pair with your favorite grilled vegetables or a side salad for a complete and delicious meal.
Tips:
- For a thicker steak, adjust the cooking time accordingly. Use a meat thermometer to ensure your desired internal temperature is reached.
- Want a smokier flavor? Add a few wood chips to your grill during preheating for a hint of smoke.
- Leftovers? Thinly sliced steak is perfect for salads, sandwiches, or fajitas.
